Green Bay Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy said he wants Brett Favre back in the Packers family. Favre was the starting quarterback for the Packers from 1992 to 2007 before he retired and un-retired and retired and un-retired. After 2007, he was traded to the Jets where he played for two seasons before signing with the Vikings. Favre helped the Packers win a Super Bowl, while earning three MVP awards. Favre has said that he holds no hard feelings for the way he was 'treated' by the Packers in 2007. He is officially retired as of now.

Fake Nuns Smuggle Cocaine
Three women who were pretending to be nuns were arrested in Colombia. They were suspected of having cocaine in their habits. They attempted to sneak through security at Gustavo Rojas Pinilla International Airport in San Andres. All three women were carrying two kilos of cocaine. The women are facing charges of trafficking, manufacturing, and the bearing of narcotics, according to police. Police said, the drugs would be distributed in more than 60 thousand doses. Say no to drugs, say yes to tacos. Vote for Pedro.

Jason Collins Comes Out
Jason Collins, the 12 year pro basketball player, is the first active, major league athlete to announces he's gay. Over the last few months, there has been much speculation over what league would have the first gay athlete. That stemmed from sketchy questions being asked to college football players during the NFL combine. From the moment Collins announced he was gay, he received nothing, but support from other NBA players and major icons in the media, including Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, and Ellen Degeneres. Jason Collins' twin brother, Jarron, has tweeted about the support his brother and his family were receiving, which is a very good step in the right direction for equal rights for everyone.

George Zimmerman's mother speaks out
Only a year after Trayvon Martin was shot, George Zimmerman is still awaiting trial on a second-degree murder charge. George Zimmerman supposedly shot out of self defense, killing the 17 year old. Zimmerman's mother says that the arrest was only made to please the masses, which is incredibly plausible. "April 11, 2012, will be forever remembered by the Zimmerman family as the day the justice system failed us as Americans, and as a consequence an innocent man was arrested for a crime he did not commit, solely to placate the masses," Gladys Zimmerman wrote.

Auschwitz Survivor Seeks Twin Brother
Menachem Bodner, a given name, is a 73 year old man who survived Auschwitz. He has a twin brother, but he hasn't seen him since they were in Auschwitz. Bodner's "number" is A 7733, while his brother's was A 7734. Bodner has posted a picture of him when he was 5 and a picture he thought was a family photo on the Internet. A genealogist proved the family photo was not his. Bodner, with the genealogists help, have discovered that he was born Eli Gottesman and he does have a twin brother named Jeno. They were both experimented on by the infamous Josef Mengele, who was known for his awful experiments on humans, and most notably, twins.

Sturgeon Bay Riots
Shortly after students arrived at Sturgeon Bay High School, multiple riots broke out in different sectors of the school. Many reports suggest that the Facebook pages, Sturgeon Bay Confessions and Sturgeon Bay High School Compliments, propelled the anger into full blown riots. Girls have been seen pulling hair and accusing other girls of going tanning. While that's going on, teachers are checking all lockers, backpacks, cars, and pockets due to some controversial posts involving drugs and alcohol. Southern Door High School and Gibraltar High School have made similar pages, but then they realized they didn't want to be anything like that train wreck of a school.

Brink of War
North Korea has recently cut off the military hotline with South Korea. That could mean nothing, or it could be the calm before the storm. Tensions are already high between the Korea's and just about everyone else in the world with all the threats they're dealing. The U.N. is expected to send a VERY strongly worded letter this time, to really let North Korea know how they feel. That's why we should go in and kill Kim Jong-Un. The guy is a nut.

America: World Police
Secretary of State John Kerry has announced that the United States will send $250 million to aid Egypt and it's economy. He also said that if President Mohamed Morsi uses it on economic and political reforms. The potential price tag is $450 million, already including the $250 million. John Kerry is calling it a 'good-faith effort' to help the Egyptian people. To me, this comes as no surprise, since we are the world police. $250 million, or even $450 million may not seem like a lot when it comes to our national debt, now at $16 TRILLION, but we need to worry about ourselves before anyone else.

Mexican police nab drug-launching cannon near border
It seems like Mexicans and drug cartels are getting smarter about their ways of getting drugs into the US. Smugglers have used tunnels, cars, boats, and even humans in order to traffic drugs across the border, and now they're using cannons to shoot bags of drugs onto US soil for pickup later that night.
"Well, I've been in (law enforcement) for over 20 years, and it seems like within the last five to 10 years they have gotten really, really creative in how they bring their drugs across," said Andy Adame, special operations supervisor for the Joint Field Command Arizona of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
There has only been one cannon seized and their is no doubt that more will be found in the near future.

37 Killed in Bangladesh Riot
There are 37 confirmed dead after a riot broke out following the verdict that the leader of the largest Islamist party was sentenced to death in wake of decades-old allegations of war crimes. Delwar Hossain Sayedee was convicted of eight counts (out of the possible 20) involving killings and rapes during Bangladesh's war of independence in 1971. Delwar Hossain Sayedee was sentenced to hang by a war crimes tribunal. He is the third of seven members of the Jamaat party to be convicted of war crimes, and was the second to be sentenced to death. Dhaka was one of the cities that riots took place in, that's also where four police officers were killed.

Jerry Buss, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, died this morning due to kidney failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. . Buss had been hospitalized for the better part of 18 months while receiving treatment for cancer. The kind of cancer he had is undisclosed at this time, but likely had something to do with his death. Jerry Buss was always known as a flamboyant owner, but he had been the winningest in all of sports since he took over as the owner of the Lakers, winning 10 championships since 1979.

Christopher Dorner.
Christopher Dorner was identified as the man that was burnt alive by LAPD officers, during a standoff in mountains east of Los Angeles. During the standoff, LAPD officers threw tear gas into the wood cabin, knowing it would catch fire, and in turn burnt him alive. Dorner did manage to take another officer down as well before dying. Dorner was an ex-LAPD officer, but was fired for 'falsely accusing his training officer of kicking a subdued subject' who was also mentally ill. The man came forward and said that he was assaulted by the officer that Dorner accused. While the media is cherrypicking Dorner's manifesto to make him look like a deranged serial killer, he states in it that he only wanted to clear his name. He wanted to show the world how corrupt the LAPD is. Christopher Dorner was not an angel by any means, but he was not the monster that he's made out to be.

Tunisian Opposition Leader Assassinated
Yesterday on February 6th Chokri Belaid, the Tunisian opposition leader, was assassinated in front of his home. Belaid received death threats often due to his outspokenness of the government that was Islamist-led. He claimed they weren't doing enough against the Salafists, the group that allegedly was behind his assassination. There were protests in the streets of the capital, which turned violent today. Police have fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse the protesters. One police officer died after tackling looters. Now it seems that Tunisia is added to the list of African countries that are in mass frenzy.

Yet Another Shooting
On January 20th, the New Mexico Sheriff's responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting of 5 people in a home. Among the 5 dead, there were 2 adults and 3 young children. A 15 year old, who hasn't been named, has been arrested and has been charged with 2 counts of murder and 3 counts of child abuse leading to death. Sheriff's say the 15 year old is a possible family member. Sheriff's also said that each person had been shot multiple times, which makes me wonder why he didn't receive 5 counts of murder. Last time I checked, child abuse doesn't involve being shot. Anywho, one of the weapons was described as an assault rifle. Say bye-bye to assault rifles for sure now, America. It was clearly the assault rifles fault and not the moron wielding it. Bob Costas should have a field day soon enough.

World To Obama: You can't ignore us
This article is absolutely ridiculous. America has been the world police for God knows how long, and when OUR president wants to focus on HIS country, suddenly we're in the wrong? No. We aren't your babysitter anymore, if you want help, do it yourself. Our economy is in the gutter, we have high unemployment, and a massacre every other week. We need to deal with our problems before anyone else for the first time in a LONG while. America To World: Do it yourself.

Son of LA Clippers Owner found dead
Scott Sterling, 32, was found unresponsive in his home and was pronounced dead at 12:42 am on Wednesday morning. It is said that he died from an apparent drug overdose. The drug is unknown, but he had Type 1 Diabetes, which could have played a role. In 1999 Scott Sterling killed his childhood friend. He shot him in the back with a shotgun and claimed self defense. The charges were dropped. If that moron had gone to jail like he should have (he was 19 at the time), I probably wouldn't have blogged about his death. Don't do drugs and stay in school.

Fiscal Cliff
A crisis was averted late last night/early this morning when the House of Representatives passed the Fiscal Cliff Bill. The bill increases taxes for individuals earning more than $400,000 a year and couples earning more than $450,000 while others are remaining with the Bush Era Tax cuts. 98% of the country would've faced higher taxes, had the bill not been passed. Also, since the bill had passed, it stopped a $110 billion in automatic cuts to domestic and military spending. Despite this being passed, America is still $16 TRILLION in debt. Almost there, America.
